Hindustan International School, Padur, hosted a remarkable event on 27 Nov 2023, the Spectacular 2023 Science, Art, and ICT Expo. The occasion marked not only a celebration of knowledge and creativity but also the inauguration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiatives at the school. The Chief Guest, Dean of Academics, Mr. Johnson Mathew, Hindustan Schools graced the event with his presence, along with the Principaladding prestige to the occasion.
The event commenced with the inauguration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiative at the school. The Chief Guest, in his address, emphasized the importance of education in addressing global challenges and fostering sustainable development. The school’s commitment to incorporating SDGs into the curriculum was applauded, setting a positive tone for the rest of the event.
The heart of the expo was the participation of the students who showcased their exceptional creativity in science, art, and information and communication technology (ICT). The students, from various departments, which included Math, Social Science, English, Music, Hindi and Tamil presented an array of projects that demonstrated their understanding and application of academic concepts. First-grade students presented a play depicting the process of seed germination, while second-grade students showcased a ramp walk featuring outfits made from recycled materials.
The judges took a keen interest in each project, evaluating not only the technical aspects but also the innovation and creativity demonstrated by the students. The winners were felicitated for their outstanding projects. The prizes were awarded based on categories such as innovation, presentation skills, and adherence to the SDGs. The joy and pride on the faces of the winners reflected the effort and dedication they had put into their projects.
Parents actively participated by attending the expo, engaging with the exhibits, and showing support for their children’s endeavours. It also helped the parents to witness first-hand the educational and creativity of their children.
